I now own an album I have coveted for months, searched every crevice of the internet for, and every record store I've happened upon. Go figure they'd have it at Reckless in Wicker Park, even though I had to search a bit before finding it and pooping my pants on the spot.

The Crust Brothers were a one-time side project between Stephen Malkmus and Silkworm; they did mostly covers (specifically those of Bob Dylan which eventually landed Malkmus on the soundtrack of "I'm Not There") and a few original songs. The album was recorded live at a benefit concert, and they never reunited. It's apparently incredibly rare, judging from the fact that I spent months searching for it and Mike's co-worker old-guy Pavement nut said that it's near impossible to get a hold of.
So I'm having a good day. I spent so much money this weekend, it's ridiculous. I didn't even buy any weed.
